Ms. Aparna Ray,
Joint Secretary (Policy Planning & Research), Ministry of External Affairs

Ms. Aparna Ray (IFS: 2008) is the Joint Secretary for the Centre for Contemporary China Studies (CCCS); and, the Policy Planning & Research (PP&R) Divisions of the Ministry of External Affairs.   

Previously, she served as the Counsellor to the Permanent Mission of India to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva; and, has also held positions at High Commission of India in Islamabad and Embassy of India, Beijing.

She has a B.A from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore; and, MPP from the School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University. She speaks English, Hindi, Bengali and Chinese.
